Poverty in Derbyshire

Across Derbyshire there is considerable variation in the level of poverty and economic prosperity experienced. Derbyshire’s Anti-Poverty Strategy sets out the ambitious approach members of the Derbyshire Partnership Forum will take to tackle poverty across the county. The strategy focuses on mitigating the effects of poverty and supporting those most at risk. It also identifies the key challenges Derbyshire faces together with actions which are currently being undertaken by partners. This includes increasing financial inclusion and capability; alleviating fuel poverty and increasing affordable warmth; reducing child poverty and improving employment prospects and skills.
