The qualification levels of Derbyshire’s residents have improved over recent years, with the number qualified to degree level moving much closer to the England average. Derbyshire generally performs well on educational attainment, although there is considerable variation across the county on these measures. Attainment at GCSE level is widely variable between Derbyshire Dales as the best performing and Bolsover as the worst performing in both Attainment 8 and Maths and English.
