Teenage Pregnancy
While pregnancy can be a positive turning point in life, as a teenager, pregnancy and raising a child can be difficult and may result in negative outcomes for both the teenage parent and the child. A large proportion of teenage pregnancies (40.6%) result in an abortion, this is a difficult experience for the mother and an avoidable cost to the NHS.
